On the 5th of November 2020, the project STRIDE – which has been approved in the 3rd call of the the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) – hosted its official public kick-off event. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the event was held virtually as an online conference with the purpose to raise the awareness of project target groups about the project goals and forthcoming activities and provide information to stakeholders about the expected results and benefits of the STRIDE project.
First, Ana Leganel, Interreg DTP Joint Secretariat (JS) project officer, welcomed all the partners and stakeholders and spoke about the ‘’synergies that can be created between STRIDE project and the other DTP financed projects, especially CSSC LAB’’. In both projects, STRIDE and CSSC Lab, ConPlusUltra is significantly involved as a project partner and work package leader.
Tea Potocnik, representing the lead partner LEASP, highlighted the relevance of the associated strategic partners: ‘’Associated strategic partners play a crucial role in the STRIDE project, as they are the ones that will implement or support the implementation of the smart grid strategies and action plans – and in this respect, it is important to include them in the extensive dialog from the beginning of the project.’’
As the project coordinator added, , ‘’The kick-off event was a first in the series of events organised within the project STRIDE in which associated strategic partners will actively participate.’’
