Interreg Project CURIOST

The 30-month CURIOST project was launched on 1st of June 2024. The project consortium, led by Business Upper Austria GmbH – the location agency of Upper Austria – consists of eleven project partners from seven countries. The kick-off meeting took place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from 18th to 19th June 2024.

ConPlusUltra FlexCo is the second Austrian project partner and coordinates the analysis of the framework conditions of national and European legislation and action plans in the project partner regions, as well as the development of the transnational CURIOST Action Plan.

The CURIOST Action Plan will include measures to support SMEs in introducing sustainable product development solutions in the four key sectors

• Mechanics and mechatronics
• Packaging industry
• Plastics industry
• and construction industry

in the partner regions.

The total project budget of EUR 1,897,700 is supported by ERDF funding of EUR 1,518,160.

Circular economy as a factor for innovative and sustainable product development

CURIOST pursues the idea that circular economy plays a decisive role in innovative and sustainable product development. The project partners want to support SMEs and small midcaps in Central Europe in fully exploiting their potential in sustainable product development and taking advantage of the benefits of corresponding business models.
