More than 70 start-ups, public institutions and project partners from the Danube region participated in the exchange of knowledge and good practices among experts coming from the whole Danube Region at the International Crowdfunding Conference in Zagreb on December 12, 2018. Main topics were regional initiatives / projects related to alternative sources of financing including in particular energy topics as well as access for start-ups and other enterepreneurs to this innovative form of financing.
As a guest speaker on behalf of the CrowdStream project, Brigitte Hatvan (Business+Innovation) provided insights into the development in Crowdfunding in Austria and reflected on the perspectives of the alternative finance sector after the adoption of the Austrian Alternative Finance Act. In the afternoon, Mrs. Hatvan participated in a panel discussion with representatives from ministries, municipalities, crowdfunding platforms which focused on access to new sources of finance for sustainable energy investments in the context of the Horizon2020 project E-FIX.
